News and Updates

BATON ROUGE, La.—Louisiana Secretary of State Nancy Landry has announced the successful passage of all bills in the Department of State’s Election Integrity Legislative Package.

“I could not be more thankful to the authors and sponsors of the bills in our election integrity package and the members who supported those instruments,” Secretary Landry said. “Thanks to them, all 11 bills in our legislative package have passed overwhelmingly and will help Louisiana continue on the path to being ranked first in the nation in election integrity. I thank Governor Landry for signing several of these bills into law already and I look forward to working with the Governor to ensure the remaining bills in this package become law so that we can continue our work of making Louisiana’s elections the safest and most secure in the country.”

BATON ROUGE, La. —The Louisiana Secretary of State’s Office is aware of mailers distributed by a third-party group known as “The Voter Participation Center.” These mailers suggest that someone at the address may not be registered to vote, and they include a voter registration form with pre-filled information. These mailers sometimes contain incorrect or misleading information. Voters should know that this mailer is not official correspondence from the Louisiana Secretary of State or a parish Registrars of Voters, nor is it an indication of a change in a voter’s registration status.

Secretary Landry encourages all Louisianans to visit geauxvote.com or download the free, award-winning Geaux Vote mobile app to update their registration, or call their parish Registrar of Voters with any questions about their registration status.
