BATON ROUGE, La. — Secretary of State Nancy Landry has announced that Governor Jeff Landry has issued an executive order suspending early voting in Cameron Parish today, June 17, and tomorrow, June 18, for the June 27 election due to projected severe weather.
Early voting in all other parishes will proceed as scheduled on Thursday, June 18. Polls will be closed statewide on Friday, June 19, for the Juneteenth holiday, and will reopen on Saturday, June 20 for the final day of early voting.
Voters are encouraged to view their sample ballot by downloading the GeauxVote Mobile app for smartphones, or by visiting GeauxVote.com and logging into the Voter Portal.
