BATON ROUGE, La. — Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin reminds voters that Saturday, Oct. 14, is Election Day for the Gubernatorial Primary Election.

In preparation for the election, Secretary Ardoin encourages voters to remember:

● The last day of early voting is Oct. 7 from 8:30 a.m.- 6 p.m.

● The deadline to request an absentee ballot is Oct. 10 by 4:30 p.m. (other than military and overseas voters). Voters can request an absentee ballot online through the Voter Portal or in writing through the Registrar of Voters Office.

● The deadline for a registrar of voters to receive a voted absentee ballot is Oct. 13 by 4:30 p.m. (other than military and overseas voters).

● Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. on Election Day. Anyone in line at 8 p.m. will be allowed to vote.

● Voters can find their polling location and sample ballot by downloading the GeauxVote Mobile app for smartphones, or by visiting www.GeauxVote.com and logging into the Voter Portal.

● Voters can sign up for electronic notifications via GeauxVote Mobile.

● Voters should bring an ID with them to vote (Louisiana driver’s license, Louisiana Special ID card, a generally recognized picture identification card with name and signature such as a passport, or a digital license via LA Wallet).

● Election results can be viewed in real-time via GeauxVote Mobile or at www.sos.la.gov

Amite, La.— Andi Matheu and the Tangipahoa Parish Registrar of Voters Office would like to remind everyone that early voting for the upcoming November election will begin Friday, November 3* and will continue through the following Saturday, November 11.  Both our Hammond and Amite locations are open to conduct early voting from 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM during early voting week.

*Early Voting is advanced one day due to our office being closed on Friday, 11/10 for the state-observed holiday, Veterans Day.

Amite, La.— Tangipahoa Registrar of Voters Andi Matheu will meet with the Board of Election Supervisors to seal the early voting machines on Monday, 10/30/2023 at 10:00 AM.  The board meeting will be held in the Registrar’s Amite office located in their NEW location at 110 N. Street, Amite, LA  70422.   As usual, these meetings are open to the public. Once certified and sealed by the board, these machines will be used during Early Voting for the November election.  Early Voting begins on Friday, November 3 and continues through Saturday, November 11, from 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM (excluding Sunday 11/5 and Friday 11/11).  Be prepared by checking out your sample ballot ahead of time at www.GeauxVote.com .

BATON ROUGE, La. — Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin reminds voters that the deadlines to register to vote in the Nov. 18 General Election are fast approaching. The deadline to register in person, by mail or at the OMV Office is Wednesday, Oct. 18. The deadline to register through the GeauxVote Online Registration System is Saturday, Oct. 28. This deadline is for citizens who have never registered to vote, as well as voters who would like to make changes to their registration.

Citizens may check their registration or register to vote online at www.GeauxVote.com. After registering, voters should download the GeauxVote Mobile smartphone app. The app provides registration information as well as voting districts, sample ballots, polling place information and election results.

Early voting for the Nov. 18 election will take place Friday, Nov. 3 through Saturday, Nov. 11 (excluding Sunday, Nov. 5, and Friday, Nov. 10 for Veterans Day), from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
